Chronologically, "My Sweet Potato" is the first MG's song to be available in stereo—on the And Now! album—after new recording equipment was installed at Stax in the summer of 1966.
"Booker-Loo" became the only charting B-side in the MG's catalog. It made it to the Billboard R&B chart on November 19, 1966, more than two months after the A-side. It charted for five weeks, peaking at #37.
